On February 22,1995 Briercrest Community Radio Inc. was awarded a licence for a English-language FM campus/community station at Caronport, operating on the 92.7 MHz frequency with an effective radiated power of 5 watts. The station would broadcast 126 hours of local programming per week and would be predominantly religious.
