Fred Cacciotti is a Canadian Christian Artist. His ministry spans more than two decades. Over this time he has provided music at church services, concerts, retreats, festivals and marches. In 2002 he was asked to participate at World Youth Days in Toronto with his former group “Spirit in Motion” and had the honour of performing at the Papal Mass in Downsview. He received a Papal Medallion for his efforts during this historic event, a moment he will treasure always. Later that year he was nominated for Songwriter of the Year by the UCMVA in Washington DC. In 2003 his CD “Heavenly Eyes, Heavenly Hands” was nominated again by UCMVA for International Album of the Year and in 2005 he was the recipient of the International Artist of the Year Unity award. In 2006 he received a Covenant Award from the Gospel Music Association Canada for “Dancing in the Light” in the Instrumental Song of the Year category. This Classical Guitar piece is from his CD “River of Mercy”. Before his return to his Christian roots in 1984, Fred was involved in many aspects of the secular music business from writing radio and television commercials, recordings and performing at major Rock Concerts. He shared the stage with some of the biggest names in popular music at the time, like the Guess Who (American Woman), Janice Joplin, The Band and Neil Diamond. Leaving that behind, Fred believes, was a special gift that has allowed him to write music that inspires a deeper faith in God. This inspiration comes in abundance as God is in everyone and everything. Fred’s current CD “River Of Mercy” crosses all denominational lines so that any Christian will feel right at home listening to the scripture based material. His previous CD “Heavenly Eyes, Heavenly Hands” is still available as well. Another form of expressing his deep faith is through his Classical Guitar compositions. He hopes to record these as well on an exclusively instrumental CD in the near future. Two instrumental pieces on his “River of Mercy” CD “Spirit of Fire” and “Dancing in the Light” (mentioned earlier) will preview this Classical Guitar album. phone: 1-800-605-3381 |
