What was CJOS?CJOS 92.7 FM was a campus radio station at Briercrest College and Seminary that used to broadcast from Category:City-Caronport, Category:Saskatchewan CJOS aired round-the-clock Christian programming, including music, talk programs, and news. On February 22,1995 Briercrest Community Radio Inc. was awarded a licence for a English-language FM campus/community station at Caronport, operating on the 92.7 MHz frequency with an effective radiated power of 5 watts. The station would broadcast 126 hours of local programming per week and would be predominantly religious. The applicant was a company incorporated under the Saskatchewan non-profit Corporations Act and controlled by a board made up of six members. The station would be financed by Briercrest Bible College.
CJOS went off the air permanently at noon April 25, 2006 due to a lack of interest and support. At the request of Briercrest Community Radio Inc., the CRTC revoked the licence of community-based campus station CJOS-FM on May 17, 2006.
