John Frank Morin serves the Lord full time as a "musicianary" and minister of the Gospel. He and his wife Dorothy have been blessed and entrusted with eight children. They presently live near Montreal, Quebec.
J.F. combines a variety of interests and talents. He is a writer, plays multiple instruments, sings, and produces his own recordings. He is perfectly bi-lingual: performing in both English and French. The "Focus Dei" project is his project, utilizing a variety of talented Christian musicians from Montreal, Quebec. He guides each album along with the three "P's": penning, producing and performing.
His first album, Sur la terre comme au ciel, (On Earth as it is in Heaven) was released in Quebec, and was a tri-lingual effort (French, English, and Hebrew). It was released in 2004 and reveals J.F.'s multi-lingual abilities. It received radio airplay in Montreal and Ottawa followed by performances in both cities. The album includes guest artists including the well-known Quebec singer Richard Toupin for the song "Le Chemin" (The Way).
His second all-English album Awaken was released in 2005. The album features a song with good friend Jerry Mercer on drums. Some may recall Jerry from April Wine, a popular seventies group. Like J.F. Jerry has come to know Christ personally since his secular music debut.
