Dale DirksenDale Dirksen has more than 20 years of vocaltional ministry experience. He was a worship pastor for seven years, a youth pastor for three years, and worked as a camp administrator for almost ten years. He has played keyboards and bass with bands signed under Starsong (Quickflight) and Sparrow (Steve Taylor) record companies. He also had a variety of solo touring and recording experiences and is currently signed with Ionic Records and Petaluma Publishing.
His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Master’s degrees in Christian Education and Leadership, and a Doctorate in Worship Studies (studying with Robert Webber). Dale, his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters have been in Caronport since 1997.
Professional Musician - Based in Vancouver Canada (1980 - 1984) Member of the band Quickflight, signed to exclusive management by Barry Samuels (Axis Entertainment), Mike Cavelli (agent), and StarSong Records. Played clubs and concert dates throughout North America. The primary venues of this touring were contemporary christian music concerts. The final Quickflight recording sold extensively worldwide. Also toured with Steve Taylor - Sparrow Records (as keyboard player) and extensively as a solo act during these 5 years. Graphic Artist - Regina, SK; Richmond BC; Vancouver, BC (1979 - 1983) Responsibilities included: All areas of production graphics including: graphic design and layout, customer relation, camera work and typesetting. Subsequent graphic design included work with Quark Express and Aldus Pagemaker. Most of this work was the day job that supported my evening and touring music work.
