Who is Wendy Farha ?Born in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, Wendy Farha grew up in the West Island suburb of Pointe Claire. She first picked up a guitar at sixteen years old when she took a summer course at a local high school. Two years later, she committed her life to Christ and immediately began writing songs about her experiences with the Lord. Since then, she has ministered in hundreds of venues in Canada, the United States, the West Indes and Europe, including churches, coffeehouses, hospitals and prisons. She is passionate about evangelism and missions, and uses her songs to reach out to believers and unbelievers alike. She serves as an itinerant worship leader for churches whose worship teams need training and encouragement. Her music is also ideal for Christian coffeehouses, women's or youth groups, or children's ministry. Wendy's is also well-known for her jokes and impersonations. She loves to laugh and to get others laughing, which always makes for a good balance of music, ministry and fun! She is available for community outreach or fundraiser events that call for a lighthearted evening of music and humor.
Wendy's Latest CD
Wendy Farha's new CD "You Say" is a delightful mix of songs, a folk-based album rich in acoustic guitars, piano, percussion and cello. Wendy's distinctive vocals are pure, clear and sweet, and her lyrics are sensitive and profound. Multi-talented producer and arranger Stephen Mullin (Loft Image and Sound in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) has helped craft this project into a must-hear album. Suitable for believers and unbelievers alike, songs on "You Say" explore the love and faithfulness of God, the joys and pain of relationships, and the experience of growing and learning to love and forgive others. Wendy's irrepressible sense of humor also inevitably breaks through with fan favorites such as "Menopause" and "It's Not Fair!" (A stand-up comedienne of sorts, Wendy's concerts are filled with humor and she certainly gives us a taste of that on "You Say".
