Forgiveness includes "Faith, Hope, Love," a duet with Dove Award-winning Sparrow recording artist Nichole Nordeman, as well as a rendition of the Pete Seeger-penned classic, "Turn, Turn, Turn," which is also reprised as a duet with Witter’s daughter, Roslyn, closing the album. Other highlights of the project include Witter’s composition, "Ordinary Man," and "If He Put His Hammer Down" & "You Are the Son," both co-written by Witter and award-winning singer/songwriter Steve Wariner. The title-cut was penned by Witter and Bobby Tomberlin and poignantly depicts the consequences of a broken friendship never reconciled. The album’s debut single, "Forgiveness" is currently a Top 25 hit on both R&R and Christian Radio Weekly’s AC chart and is also in the Top 20 on R&R’s Inspo chart. "I pray that ‘Forgiveness’ is the kind of song that can change people's lives in a positive way," said Witter. "Out of foolish pride we can refuse to forgive, but we have to look at the big picture and realize that God forgives and forgets. The act of forgiving can have a profound impact." "Cuts such as "Ordinary Man" and "Like You Do" reflect my ongoing personal journey of learning to be where God wants me to be," continues Witter. "It is my hope and prayer that the album can encourage others to seek Christ and actively do something to better their lives." "Jim Witter is one of the few artists that, upon hitting the first note, will capture your attention and keep your focus throughout the album," said Bob Bender, director of sales, Curb Records. "Very rarely does someone write songs with so much depth and yet make them radio friendly." In support of Forgiveness, Witter recently appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network's Praise the Lord program, where he performed selections from the album, including the title-cut and "You Are the Son." In addition, Witter will be the subject of a Soul2Soul Radio Special, which is slated to air the weekend of January 18. The program will also feature an interview with special guest Nichole Nordeman.
