Who is Ged Stonehouse ?

Ged Stonehouse is the founder of the Christian Media Association of Atlantic Canada. Ged has a background in marketing and secular radio. He would like to see the next stage of the Christian Media Association of Atlantic Canada vision move away from the current trend of starting small radio stations with varying quality, power and success across the country.

"We have three small stations in the Maritimes and we appreciate each of them, but we recognize how tough it is for them first to get started and then to continue on-going operations," he says.

Instead, Stonehouse would like to see the creation of a national Christian radio network, which would produce top-quality programming and do joint production, fundraising, marketing and advertising.

He envisions Christian station programming in a variety of formats, including Adult Contemporary, Southern Gospel, Rock and Talk Radio. He would also like to see a national hourly newscast, with current events told from a Christian perspective.

"Local stations canít really do this, but a national Christian network definitely could," he says, adding that pooling resources would be the key to making it happen.
