Charlene Zehr, better known as chuckee to most people, has recently released her CD of 10 original songs entitled "Chuckee's Great Big Bite". She takes R&B and combines it with some rock, reggae, hip-hop, and gospel.

Charlene spent many years playing on the road and recording with bands from Stratford, Tavistock, New Hamburg and Kitchener, doing rock, country, classic rock, country rock, rock rock and gospel rock. She enjoys the creative process of writing and arranging all kinds of music.

The cd was produced by David Rashed, formerly of the group Haywire. All songs were written by Charlene, and she and David arranged and played everything. Recorded at Liberty International in St. Thomas.

This album won "Contemporary Album of the Year" for the CGMA in November 1999.

This CD is specially dedicated to Charlene's brother, Roger, who died in an accident in 1987.

Already working on her next album's songs she is leaning towards a mix of blues, jazz and R&B. Besides the piano and keyboards, she hopes to play some guitar on this album as well.
