What is History?

For the purposes of our ChristianMedia.ca Directory, we define history as stories from Christian men and Christian women who have worked or volunteered in an aspect of media in Canada. We are focussing on personal recollections as each of these Christian people share his story (history) and her story (herstory) of their work and ministry in media in Canada.

History is...
-the aggregate of past events; "a critical time in the Canadian history"
-the continuum of events occurring in succession leading from the past to the present and even into the future; "events in Canadian history"
-a record or narrative description of past events; "a history of Canada"; "he gave an inaccurate account of the plot to discredit the Prime Minister"; "the story of women's contribution to World War I"
-the discipline that records and interprets past events involving human beings; "she teaches aboriginal Canadian history"; "history takes the long view"
-all that is remembered of the past as preserved in writing; a body of knowledge; "the dawn of recorded history"; "from the beginning of history"
