Northview's newest CD, "Hear From Heaven" was recorded Live on February 29th, 2004 and features a very talent-packed line-up of worship leaders, including Johnny Markin, Chris Janz, Suzanne Thiessen, Kevin Boese, Stephanie Reddicopp, Amy Klassen, and others.

From this project's inception, it has been our desire to do a truly 'Canadian' worship project, one that crosses the linguistic and cultural divide, bringing songs of praise to a nation in both our national languages. In a country which is most often only united by our love for our national sport (ice hockey), it is time we found that there is one greater purpose to which we can bind our hearts - our love for God and desire to worship him!

Northview CD Earns Three Covenant Award Nominations

Abbotsford, British Columbia: Sept. 26, 2005 – Northview Community Church is excited to learn that their recent CD “Hear From Heaven” has received three nominations for the upcoming Covenant Awards, sponsored annually by the Canadian Gospel Music Association (CGMA).

“Hear From Heaven” is nominated for ‘Special Events/Compilation Album Of The Year’,

‘Praise and Worship Song of the Year’ (God Is Our Refuge – Written by Johnny Markin), and ‘Francophone Song of the Year’ for the French version of the same song (Dieu Est Un Refuge – Translation by Matthieu Nantal).

This marks the first time that a Northview project has received a nomination. Johnny Markin, their Pastor of Worship and co-producer along with Harold Wiens of Sapphire Sound, has said,

“We are both honoured and excited that the CGMA have recognized the project as worthy of nomination. We hope that it will open a door for other listeners, who may not yet have heard the project, to be blessed by the both the new songs that are coming from our fellowship, and the more familiar ones that have connected with worshippers across Canada.”

A two-disc/bilingual project, the CD has already received excellent reviews in both the MB Herald and BC Christian News, and is realizing the project’s initial dreams of being a “truly unique, ‘Canadian’ worship project, bringing worship resources to the nation in both national languages.”

“Hear From Heaven” features a talented line-up of worship leaders including Johnny Markin, Stephanie Reddicopp, and Suzanne Thiessen. Proceeds from “Hear From Heaven” have gone towards the ongoing support of missions work.
