Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Wendy Farha grew up in the West Island suburb of Pointe Claire. She first picked up a guitar at sixteen years old and took a summer course at a local high school. Not long after that, she began composing songs, singing them at various locations around the city.

Since then, she has sung in hundreds of venues in Canada, the United States, the West Indes and Europe, honing her songwriting abilities and developing her musical style. Her songs are mostly quiet and reflective, and speak of living, loving, and surviving in a broken world.
