On January 9, 1994 at 12:00 noon, CKBD 600 AM “THE BRIDGE” officially signed on as Canada’s first contemporary Christian music (CCM) radio station with Rich Mullins' song “Awesome God”. Since then, CCM formats have followed in Edmonton, Ottawa and Calgary.
