Joyful Country, admittedly not a very original name, was a reinvention of Joyful Sounds running on CKAN in Newmarket. In October 1984, by station management decree, the CCM program became countrified where it lasted a year until reverting back to the original Joyful Sounds. Hosted by Rob Green the program was moderated successful but plagued by the lack of consistent country product.

It did serve to become a springboard for further research and the launch of the County Line syndicated Christian Country program in October 1988.
