Les Roberts is a pseudonym of Rob Green. The moniker was invented out of necessity when Rob was hosting two different radio shows (Joyful Sounds and County Line) and they were picked up in the same market (Peterboro/Lindsey) by competing radio stations.

As a personality, Les Roberts eclipsed his alter ego Rob Green because of the Christian Country format's meteoric rise in the Christian music industry in Nashville in the 1990s. Christian Music Weekly, a publication by Green was originally published using the pseudonym when it was primarily a Christian Country paper known as CCRB. Now serving 9 formats, the paper now lists the byline of the publisher as Rob Green.
