What is ARPA Canada ?ARPA Canada (Association for Reformed Political Action (ARPA) Canada) is a new Christian political action group that officially launched its work across the country in April, 2008. ARPA Canada serves as a centre for coordinating political action among Reformed churches; providing news, research, support, and motivation. It also communicates a Biblical view of current political issues to our political officials. We are excited to be a part of this new venture and we recognize that God’s blessing is imperative for ARPA Canada to be a blessing to our churches and our nation. The mission of ARPA Canada is to educate, equip, and encourage Reformed Christians to political action and to shine the light of God’s Word to Canada’s municipal, provincial, and federal governments. First, the work they will be doing will be directed primarily towards Reformed churches in Canada because we believe that there is a pressing need to encourage political action among our churches. Second, in harmony with their Reformed theological tradition, they are grounded by our faith in the truth of the Bible and believe that the Lordship of Jesus Christ must apply to every sphere of life, including politics. Some of the denominations that we will direct our activities toward include the Free Reformed Churches, United Reformed Churches, Canadian Reformed Churches, and Presbyterian Reformed Churches. However, we are grateful if others can benefit from this work as well.
