After studying music at Humber College and studying Recording Arts at Fanshawe College, Andrew Horrocks began working as a full time recording engineer at Kitchener's Cedartree Studio. Andrew worked at Cedartree for 6 years gaining experience as an engineer, producer and writer. Working with Cedartree owner and renowned Canadian producer Richard Hutt gave Andrew great insight into the recording realm. That experience also gave way to many interesting opportunities. One such opportunity was traveling to Bearsville, New York to work on The Northern Pike's album "Snow in June." Besides his experiences working at Cedartree, Andrew has traveled to Europe on three separate occasions to Engineer and Produce.

In 1994 Andrew Horrocks, along with wife Margaret Ellen Horrocks opened A.M.E. Recording Studio in Kitchener, and things have been busy ever since.

The thing that makes A.M.E. such a great place for artistic growth and expression is the fact that Andrew himself had been a signed recording artist from 1987 to 2001. Understanding the creative side of things as well as the technical side of things is the key. In 1987, Andrew's band "The Awakening" recorded the first of three internationally released albums. Then with longtime song writing partner Ian Tanner, another four albums were released to a worldwide audience through the band One Hundred Days. These recordings were critically received and provided touring opportunities throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe.

Now, after having recorded/produced or contributed to the recording of over 150 albums, Andrew brings experience, understanding, creativity, and depth to the recording process. AME is also a Mixing and Mastering Facility.
