The name Bluestreak was selected because it seemed to reflect the group's desire to make music that definitely leaned towards bluegrass , but didn't adhere strictly to the rules. The country and country/rock backgrounds of some members coupled with solid bluegrass roots of others brought an interesting dynamic to the quintet. Their first CD entitled FIRST IMPRESSION will surely not be their last. The CD contains 7 original songs and others that help define the group's musical tastes In 2006 Bluestreak performed their music at the P.E.I. Christian Music Festival.
