Bridlewood Presbyterian Church was erected on April 11, 1968. It initially met in Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate on Pharmacy Avenue in north-west Scarborough. By 1973 a church building was erected at 2501 Warden Avenue, Scarborough, on property donated by Robert McClintock, a local Christian developer. The deal was that McClintock would provide the land if the East Toronto Presbytery would guarantee an evangelical church on the site.

In 1983 the church building was expanded with a larger sanctuary, increased office space, a nursery, and full kitchen. The sanctuary was upgraded again in 2003 with a high quality sound and video system, and a much larger stage or platform.

The congregation has had a succession of three ministers, A. Donald MacLeod, Edward McKinlay, and Daniel MacKinnon.
