Who is Dawn Eden?

With the release of 'Making Waves' Dawn Eden has fulfilled a dream which she has had for many years. "As a child I dreamt of singing on stage; as a teen I began classical voice training. Touring and recording with the Concordia Lutheran College choir and it's Happy Together ensemble were highlights of my Edmonton college days. Several years with Calgary's Debut Opera included many stage performances and a full-scale production of the Mikado."

As a member of Calgary's Good Shepherd Moravian Church and its choir, I have received constant support of my musical endeavors. With encouragement from the church, I began to perform my own songs and finally take a huge leap of faith to record my debut CD. The decision to use this CD to support Mission and Outreach Programs was easy to make, I've always hoped to make a difference while on this journey...I just never knew how...until now.

'Making Waves' is about the journey of faith. While encouraging listeners to follow their dreams, I challenge them to hear and feel the grace of God working within them - to let go of fears and take a leap of faith.

I wish to thank my family and friends for their love and support, especially my son, Brendan, without whom none of this would be possible. All the books say we must teach our children by example - how could I teach my son to follow his dreams if I had never dared to reach for my own?

To everyone whose amazing talents made this CD something I am so proud of - I thank you. To Don Somerville, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for trusting me, challenging me (and for letting me have my own way, at least some of the time). You are a truly gifted musician and producer.

To my Father in Heaven, ship LeadI thank you. You have always been there for me - you alone are the source of my strength, my creativity, and my compassion. Each day, I pray that I will make good choices to live my life by - that I will glorify your name, in all that I do.
