What are the Hamilton Gospel Sings? The Hamilton Gospel Sings are a series of gospel music concerts held in Hamilton, Ontario since 1983. In the early 1980's, Ken Brooks and friends thought it would be a great idea to have Southern gospel concerts in the great city of Hamilton. So after much planning, on Saturday November 5, 1983 four Canadian quartets hit the stage of Hamilton Place. Those groups were, The Nations, The Watchmen, The Torchmen, and Ken's own group The Gospel Echoes.
Ken Brooks had many top notch groups come to Hamilton over the years, some of the groups include Gold City, The Singing Americans, The Imperials, The Speers, The Blackwood Quartet, The Talleys, Perfect Heart, Palmetto State Quartet, Greater Vision, The Hoppers, The Dixie Melody Boys, the Anchormen, The Heartland Boys, The Pfeifers, Squire Parsons, Ed Enoch and Golden Covenant, Thee Melody Boys, The Wilburns, Legacy Five, The Carolina Boys, and many more. Then in 2003, when Ken's wife Esther was failing in health, Ken turned the reigns over to the Torchmen quartet...and the rest is as they say history
