What is Helping Hands Band?

The Helping Hands Band was first brought together about 7 years ago by the late Charles Caseley of Coleman. Over the years Helping Hands has become a mainstay of benefit concerts in Western Prince Edward Island. Since their inception the Helping Hands Band has been involved in benefits which have raised over $600,000 for disadvantaged residents of West Prince.

For three years (2000-2003) Helping Hands were the stars of the "West Prince Angel Network Program", which was broadcast on Eastlink Community Access Channel. The program, which had a wide audience following, provided entertainment for viewers all over the Island, and also showcased the importance of volunteers, and provided a forum for not-for-profit groups to highlight their activities.

The current members of the Band, "Junior" Boylan, Tony Costante, Johnny Fitzgerald, Orville Rogers, Allie Silliker and Alton Silliker have been together for 5 years. They have released two CD's, the latest being a gospel CD entitled "If That Isn't Love".

In 2006 Helping Hands Band performed their music at the P.E.I. Christian Music Festival.
