Lorna Dueck is the Executive Producer of the current affairs program Listen Up TV. A popular television host and public speaker, Lorna is a regular commentary writer on faith and public life in Canada’s largest national newspaper, The Globe and Mail.

A wife and mother of two children, aged 16 and 18, Lorna spent ten years as a self-employed journalist in a home-based office that serviced markets across Canada and the U.S. She was a regular feature and news writer for the Winnipeg Free Press, Christian Week, Faith Today and numerous other outlets including CBC Radio. She was an editor and contributor for Focus on the Family print and radio departments, and a feature and news writer for Saskatchewan newspapers, farm and business publications. Prior to her freelance career, Lorna was employed as a news reporter with the Golden West Broadcasting and CKX Television and Radio in Manitoba.

Lorna most recently finished eight years of co-hosting Canada’s most watched daily Christian television program, 100 Huntley Street. That career created and launched Listen Up TV, first within 100 Huntley Street, and now as an independent program.

A Christian Education graduate of Winkler Bible Institute, Lorna has studied Journalism and Writing at Red River Community College, University of Manitoba, and The Billy Graham Christian Writer’s Institute. Lorna has studied numerous theology courses through McMaster University’s Divinity College, and Providence College. She is a graduate of the Arrow Leadership Program and is an invited member of the Star Fellowship, a leadership mentoring group sponsored by the Billy Graham Center in Wheaton, Illinois.

Lorna has produced numerous documentaries including ones from Sierra Leone, Africa, and the Innu of Labrador. She has won two awards for her investigative reporting and in 1994, Lorna co-authored the book, In Search of Hidden Heroes, a story collection of Canadians actively sharing their faith with the world around them.

She is a member of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada’s Presidents Council and serves on board of advisory capacity with Greater Europe Mission, The Gate Prison Ministry, Crisis Pregnancy Association, and Trinity Western University’s Media Task Force. She is founder of the National Coalition of Concerned Mothers, a group which presented a brief to the Canadian Senate regarding euthanasia and has lobbied for tougher child pornography laws.
