Who is Marcia Lee Laycock ?Marcia Lee Laycock is a Canadian writer who is Christian. She won the Best New Canadian Christian Author Award in 2006. She is author of Focused Reflections and The Spur of the Moment. Marcia offers critiquing, speaking and teaching services. She is available for women's retreats, conferences & one day get-a-ways. She has written articles for periodicals such as Moody Monthly, Virtue, and Just Between Us, as well as a weekly column, The Spur and many articles for newspapers across the country, including Living Light News and Christian Week. Marcia is an award-winning poet and fiction writer. While serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea, she wrote both radio and video scripts for the mission. She has also worked as the editor/writer for Western Horizons, a monthly publication of the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada. Marcia currently serves as president of InScribe Christian Writers Fellowship. The writing began in the attic of my parent's house where she wrote stories for her dolls. None of them complained, so she kept writing. "The Lord has abundantly blessed, challenged, rebuked, healed and restored me through the process of writing and being involved with writers". What does a Christian writer have to offer? "Something of substance, of reality, of hope and grace and light. Something that makes our hearts lean toward the God of our universe."
