Editing Support: iTunes for Mac Burns The Wrong Playlist Title

If you are using a Mac computer (Apple Macintosh) and you are burning a CD of an iTunes playlist, you may encounter the following situation:

Topic : The name of the disc ends up wrong when I burn audio cds

I have been trying to burn a couple of audio cds. Everything goes fine, but when I am done, and I put the cd back into the computer, the name that appears on the disc is not at all related the name of the playlist or the track that I was burning. I tried burning two different playlists and both time the disc ended up with the same name of something I must have burned a long time ago. Does anyone know how to assure that the name of the disc when you put it into the computer will be what you want it to be? Your assistance in this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

erpilgrim

Solution

Check the help document entitled "How iTunes remembers audio CDs". You will find the solution at the Apple.com web site http://support.apple.com/kb/TA27785

Thank you. That article was helpful. When I pulled the "CD Info.cidb" out of the Preferences folder the CD appeared as Audio CD when I inserted it in my computer.
