Offering is the debut CD from Canadian Christian group Terebinth featuring 12 original tracks of adult oriented praise & worship. Founded by guitarist/composer David Duchene, Terebinth has a unique contemporary sound that blends acoustic and jazz elements into a modern worship context. While primarily a guitar, keyboard, bass & drum ensemble, Terebinth also makes great use of flute, violin, viola, sax and world music percussive elements to achieve their sound. With superb vocals from Shawna Baer (The Penny Merchants) and Michelle Jones, the songs on Offering are truly engaging and inspirational – “If All the Stars Should Fall” and “Christ Shall Come Again” are beautifully and poetically worshipful, focusing on the person of Jesus Christ, while “Those Who Overcome” and the upbeat “Psalm 27” are songs of faith and encouragement, as is “Await You Here”, an original song by Shawna Baer.
