The Hymnary

The Hymnary is an online database of hymns and combines the best features of popular sites like the Cyber Hymnal and academic projects like The Hymn Tune Index and rolls them all into one robust database. The Hymnary currently contains more than 41 hymnals, index entries on more than 16,213 texts (5,580 with full text) and 12,511 tunes, biographical information from sources such as the Psalter Hymnal Handbook and Julian's Dictionary of Hymnology, full scores of many public domain hymns, and 8,593 media files. The Hymnary is a project of the Christian Classics Ethereal Library and the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, both located at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
