What is The People's Gospel Choir of Montreal ?

The People's Gospel Choir of Montreal is directed by Kim Sherwood.

The People's Gospel Choir of Montreal was born in 1992 out of love for gospel music and a desire to transcend differences through the power of the good news in song. Under the musical direction of Kim Sherwood, the choir embraces and embodies the cultural, racial and religious diversity our city offers.

Why do we sing? We sing because we're happy. We sing to be happy. There is a certain joy in gospel music unparalleled to any other form simply because of its inspirational message. For many of us, music has been the medium we have favoured to express our personal devotion. We believe God wants to use the precious gift of our voices to praise Him and share His word. For yet others, joining The People's Gospel Choir of Montreal represented a defining moment in their spiritual development. Gospel has an undeniably powerful, magnetic effect on us all.
